This week I used my birthday gift voucher at Amazon.com to order a new Dog Biscuit cookbook and set of dog cookie cutters. When the box arrived in the mail today – there were two of the books in the box! Ooops – I must have put it in my cart twice and not realized
Ever done that? It’s not the first time for me unfortunately…
So – rather than send it back, I want to gift it (with a couple of cute bone shaped cutters) to one of my readers.
Here is the Amazon product info:
“When it comes to dog biscuits, there’s a lot out there, but not one as concerned with your pet’s health and happiness as ours! While most of the competition goes for novelty, the Organic Dog Biscuit Cookbook stands alone in featuring tail-waggingly tasty 100% organic ingredients. Written by an expert who runs the Bubba Rose Biscuit Company, it contains more than 100 all-natural recipes—double what most other dog cookbooks have. That’s sure to appeal to owners eager to feed their dog homemade after the recent commercial pet food scare. The wholesome doggie dishes (all tried, true and taste tested) include a “Luck of the Irish Wolfhound” dog treat with such ingredients as oat flour and spinach leaves, and a beef-based “Grillin’ and Chillin” hot dog!”"
All you need to do to win the book and cutters is to post a great tip, on this blog post or on my Facebook wall, that tells me about how you have used dog biscuits as a promotional tool for your pet business. I’ll put the names of everyone who submits a tip into a hat (or bowl!) and draw a winner next Monday.
Go ahead and tell me your tip!
P.S. If you haven’t used doggie biscuits to promote your business yet – you can also tell me your ideas for using them in the future!

I put dog treats in small, clear ziploc bags (the size of a business card) along with a specially designed business card and gave them to my bank to give out to people coming through the drive-thru with dogs!
I have my business card attached to little bone shaped cookie cutters and at Expo events I hand out home made dog treats made from the same type cookie cutter. I post recipies on my website, so it gives customers incentive to check them out now that they have a new cookie cutter!
I punch a hole in my business cards and then run a ribbon through the hole and attach my business cards all nice and frilly to the dog biscuit. I then keep the biscuits in my car so that when I go on pet sits and dog walks and see the neighbors outside with pets I can approach them and ask them if they’d like a treat for their dog, and low and behold they automatically get my business card. I also plan to go to my local dog park and wait for people with dogs to exit and then offer them a treat before they leave.
I love making bags of goodies for the animal shelters and vet offices around me with my business cards in them and they hand them out to customers, clients, and the general public.
Use a small business plus size plastic zipper bag. Place inside 2 small size milk bones with my regular business card. Always carry some with you to handout as you are walking dogs or in the park to other dog owners, handout when in Pets-mart & put on drivers side window of the cars parked outside.
During our Christmas parade that we were a part of, I put a business card, the milk bone recipe and a couple milk bones in a small Christmas plastic bag and handed them out during the parade.
We’ve done several things:
-Business card sized baggie with biscuits and business card/magnet inside.
-Huge biscuits with ribbon around them and business card attached through the ribbon.
-Holiday cellophane baggies with biscuits inside, ribbon closing the bag and business card attached to ribbon.
-Business card stapled to sample baggies of biscuits.
Thanks for all your great suggestions!
I used an online random list shuffling software to select the winner – and am excited to announce that the winner of the book and cutters is Kathy Reilly.
I will be mailing the prized out to Kathy this week.
