I’m still very excited about my new project – Pet Sitters Sharing Excellence – but I need more pet sitters like you to send in their tips so that I can put together a valuable free resource that will be beneficial for all pet sitters.
If you have haven’t heard about it yet, I’m collecting tips from pet sitters just like you – tips that you would give to other pet sitters to help them to provide better customer service, market their business, hire and manage employees or IC’s more efficiently, run their day to day business smarter – or any other advice that you would give to another sitter over coffee!
I’m collecting up all the tips that I receive and compiling them into an ebook that on the 1st of March 2010 will be available to download from my website for free – no strings attached.
To give you a bit more encouragement to send me your tips I am going to throw in a bit of a bonus – my free ebook on using Twitter to market your business.
The book is a basic guide to :

My tips?
Put a client service system in place. I used to teach this to financial advisors. The data we collected showed people increase their business with you the more you stayed in contact with them. Have a monthly newsletter or sending them a card of thanks or to congratulate them or wish them Happy Birthday will not only build a better relationship with your clients, but it will also increase the likelihood they will refer you.
Speaking of referrals – Thank you clients for every referral with a Thank you Note or Card and perhaps a discount on their next pet sitting appt. I thank my client referrals personally in my newsletter. People love this!
Have your clients pay you up front and save yourself some time billing!!
Hi Kristen – what is your email address? I need to send you your free ebook. Thanks for the tip!
